Born on the beautiful Twin Island of Trinidad and Tobago, Ann Marie grew up in Tobago surrounded by Fashion. Her mother was a seamstress and with her help, Ann Marie learned to sew. Eventually, Ann Marie began to design and create fashionable party and glamorous wedding dresses for her family and friends. After migrating to the United States, Ann Marie continued to create unique, bold, and beautiful clothing. She always believed that no matter your size, you are beautiful and whatever you wear should reflect who you are. In 2010, Ann Marie launched her first boutique, followed by a second in 2013 and third in 2018. However, it wasn’t until 2020, while perusing the streets of New York City looking for accessories for her clients that Upulent Isle was conceived. As Ann Marie walked from store to store, she became increasingly frustrated with the styles and quality of the jewelry she was seeing - “they all looked the same.” In her frustration, she heard in her spirit, “why don’t you make your own.” Ann Marie saw this as an opportunity to custom design and create her own line of accessories for women that are Unique, Distinct, and Lively. As a trend setter, she continues to empower and encourage women globally to stand up, stand out and stand strong.
